The computer suite has 8 computers and a black and white printer. Collect your login and password from the Computer Room (105, surgery held daily 2-2.30 pm) the first time you use these.  You need credit on your DS-Print account in order to print.

The student common room is right next door to the library, equipped with vending machines for snacks and drinks, a fridge, kettle and microwave. Seating includes café style tables, easy chairs and bean bags.

We have a self-service binding facility which costs £1.00 per item. Please ask at the Library Office.

How To Find Books

Make a note of the classmark from the catalogue. All classmarks starting with a number are shelved in the MacCurdy Library, all those beginning with a letter are in the Main Library.  You can see the outline of our classification system here. Large volumes are shelved on the bottom shelves on the right hand side as you enter the library. You need to ask the Librarian for Special Reference or Store items.

Print Journals

Latest copies of journals are kept on display in the MacCurdy Library for reference only. Back issues are kept in five different locations: MacCurdy Library, Main Library, Library Office, Computer Room and the Archive Store. A list of the current subscriptions - print editions - that are available for browsing in the library can be found here.
